MERMAID MATES #1

As you all know, I’m a massive fan of mermaid mates (where water brings people especially women aka mermaids together) and here is the first of many stories of mermaid mates.
I have chosen to start with this one as it’s officially the first day of spring today and it’s been a cold winter in the southern states of Australia. These woman have been doing their thing the whole way through winter, and like everyone else braving the cold deserve some recognition.

Their story started through covid where they came together to get a small break from all the different things that lockdown and covid brought with it. They found that jumping off the local pier brought a calmness, a reset along with a new circle of friends that shared a love of the ocean.

When I had the pleasure of taking some pics of them I loved hearing the giggles, catch ups and and genuine concern for each other and what they had going on in the week that was. The jumping and diving made me smile and of course yell “How cold is it?” In answer “Ok ,the burning is starting to subside “. This automatically sent a shiver down my spine! 
There were times of silence from each while they took in their happy place and the small amount of warm sun coming through and then they would start giggling and chatting once again. I loved watching their energy once they emerged from the water and hearing the positive body talk and more giggles.

I’m also very honoured that they chose to be decked-out in my jewels and wearing my treasures in the sea having fun. The mix of tails, pearls, shells and ocean inspirations stamped in as their choice of jewellery on real life mermaids was so exciting for little old me to see.
